Williamsburg Brooklyn in the summer

I do love Brooklyn and had the opportunity to visit the Williamsburg area twice in the past month. I always start at Domino Park and head north towards Greenpoint…sometimes I make it sometimes I get distracted. This past Saturday the distraction was a pleasant surprise…Smorgasburg! It’s probably been 8 years since I had the pleasure to sample all the different food offerings.

Another surprise was 1,000+ jet skis traveling together down the East River! The only information I could find on Google was 3 years old but it explains the origins. Apparently when this started there were only a few hundred jet skis…not the case anymore. They start at the Queens and travel south and then over to the Hudson River, it’s quite a sight to see!

Domino Park is a wonderful place to people watch, and a smorgasbord for a street photographer!

Volleyball court is usually very active, particularly on weekends

It appears there was a birthday party at the park and the birthday boy was welcoming his friend

This is the first time I’ve seen the water active in the kid’s section of the park…such fun to watch them all cool off and just be kids!

After leaving the park I usually walk up Kent street… a few images here before we found the Smorgasburg and that was the end of my shooting!…Hey it was 95 (f) degrees and no matter how much I enjoy being out there…IT WAS HOT!
