Pisgah National Forest part II

Besides waterfalls, the walks to and from provided some beautiful images. The canopy was dense, some of the trails, while not difficult, definitely required that you pay attention to where you were stepping.

Trail to Lower Falls was rock and timbers with many obstacles ready to trip the distracted walker.

Looking Glass Falls
Oak trees just blooming at the Fetterbush Overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway
Skinny Dip Falls
Our last opportunity to catch a sunrise…it was 38 degrees and very windy. We set up our tripods but dare not put the cameras on. We sat in our heated cars until the sun peeked through the fog and the clouds.
