34th St – Hudson Yards Subway Station

I miss going to the city to shoot, and really am hopeful in a few months I will be comfortable visiting. I usually don’t post photos of others art, but making an exception today. Really long story short, a friend gave me Valerie Jardin’s Street Photography Photography Assignments book. One of the first assignments was to shoot street performers so as I was looking through my files for a particular image, I came upon a series of images I had taken last year at the Hudson Yards Subway Station. and thought I’d share. The ceilings are lined with glass mosaic, installed in 2015, the artist is Xenobia Bailey. I rode the escalator no less then 10 times to capture these 🙂 Had anyone been watching me they would probably have thought I’d lost my mind…get to the bottom and go back up again Haha.
