    Always Look Up!

    When I was a child my mother always told me to look forward and pay attention. The incredible photographer Rick Sammon says to always look behind. I say, always look up, there are many surprises when you do.

    The following shots were all taken in Lisbon. An urban area always provides an unexpected smile when you set your gaze upward.

      Yes, look up, look back, look left and look right! Keep your eyes open an your camera ready. Interesting things happen all the time! My favorite of these shots is the house with the swallows on the wall: not just that is a very typical thing in Portugal, but I also like the reflections, the roof, and the orange against the little sliver of blue sky
