Orient Point Lighthouse

I took this sunset shot back in 2020 and have always loved the colors. I recently submitted it to Getty Images for review. It was accepted, however, they require a property release form…that kinda confused me since it’s a lighthouse and everyone takes pictures of lighthouse LOL Anyway I started doing some research and was shocked to learn that this lighthouse went up for sale in 2012. This lighthouse was built in 1899 and is on the National Registry of Historic Places. Anyway, getting back to my story, it was purchased by an artist Randy Polumbo in 2013…He has renovated a portion of the interior and cleaned the exterior and has turned it into an artist residency. Look at this link, it is amazing what he has done!
