NOFO Morning

Drove out to Orient to catch the sunrise on Saturday. It was a beautiful sunrise, as they all are, just not a photogenic one. Headed west to walk through Greenport village but stopped multiple times along the way…the first stop was due to the street being blocked by wild turkeys strutting their stuff and trying to impress the females in the flock. Thankfully that early in the morning the traffic in minimal.

As I drove past this small cottage there was a red shouldered hawk sitting on the peak of the roof, by the time I backed up he had flown off, but loved the way the sun kissed the branches of the tree.

Greenport was still asleep when I arrived, which is fine because I love capturing the light inside the shops through the windows.

And then there are the doors and windows

I’ve been working on a self assignment for the past year, I take pictures of signs, not really sure what I am going to do with them all, but have to say have found some unusual ones… I’ll end today’s post with my latest addition to the collection.
