Spring has finally arrived here on Long Island, NY. I know it’s pretty much on time but after 5 months of cold, dreary, yucky weather spring never comes fast enough for me. I find it to be a welcoming and rejuvenating time. I have been working in the garden, cleaning it up, weeding (yes already), putting down the mulch and assessing what has survived or not and what has to be replaced. Last fall I added many tulip and daffodil bulbs to our back yard and have been so enjoying them as I swing in the hammock.
I did not see that yellowjacket when I was shooting this.. I love those unexpected surprises!
Hello. Nice to meet you, well virtually anyway. I love being outdoors whenever possible, I enjoy making photographs, be it a flower, a landscape or some street photography...it is my escape and my right brain nurturing.
The purpose of this blog is to share with you moments I have enjoyed, places I have visited and images that I hope will bring a smile to your day. Feel free to comment, sign up for email notification of my posts or email me. Thank you for visiting

It is hard to beat a tulip as a sign of hope. Lovely pictures.
