So if you read Part I of this series I mentioned that “in the ole days” newspapers would have a lot of human interest stories. Most of them of no particular importance, guess there wasn’t enough news like there is today 🙂 Well there is another little tidbit that most everyday readers did not know (at least in my experience). the stories were made up!! Yes even back then the media lied 🙂 Below are some newspaper clippings with all kinds of elaborate stories to tell. NOT ONE OF THEM WERE TRUE!!!)…
I know I was very young in this photo, but I have a distinct memory of this episode. Another photographers son, Vincent, was also at work with his Dad. These two photographer Dads took us kids to stand in front of the stairs of a plane. Jim scolded me for something knowing that I would cry (yeah I know today that would be reason for CPS to take a child away) anyway at the same time Vincent’s dad told him to kiss me…Great shot! Made the back page of all the NY newspapers…did you read the capture. What wild imaginations these photographers had!!
Really this beagle (by the way his name was Bagel because apparently I couldn’t pronounce beagle) was about as trained as a honey badger! 🙂
According to all these articles I’ve traveled everywhere visiting everyone!! You many never believe another newspaper article again! Hope you’ve enjoyed 🙂
Fascinating! I bet seeing and reading these really struck an emotional cord! Really great posts the past two days!
